As we get to know people, we are able to decide if they could be our friend. You have learned a lot about your main character over the past few weeks. Tell whether or not you could become best friends with this person. Describe, using specific reasons, why or why not.
I do think that katniss and could become best friends. we kinda have the same things in common.
ReplyDeleteI think Katniss, the main character in my story, could potentially be a really good friend but not a best friend because she doesn't seem to like the same things I like. She's a girl who fights for what she believes in and we are both athletic and just like Katniss, I would have the same feelings if I were in her position.
ReplyDeleteSo far in "Make Lemonade" we've gotten to know Lavaughn pretty well. I could definatley become best friends with her. I feeli this way because she seems like a really nice person and she seems to care alot about other peoples "well-being". And in my opinion, having a close friend that cares about you is not a bad thing. Throughout the story she seems so generous towards Jolly and goes out of her way to assist Jolly and her kids; Jeremy and Jilly. So I could become best friends with her very easily.
ReplyDeleteNo I don't think that we could be best friends because, I like my friends to be like myself. The reason being because they understand me better. He would be able to be my friend, just not "my" best friend.
ReplyDeleteOut of the group of four, i would not be able to become friends with most of the people. Bobby and I would not really get along because he is more of the kind of guy who seems like he would say random things at random times about things such as The Godfather and stuff. So i woult not know know what he is talking about. Addie and I could not be friends because she would annoy me so much it's not even funny. Plus she is always talking about the New York Times which honestly, i really's wouldn't want to hear about. Skeeie could possibly be my friend since the only thing that is really making him an outcast in this book is the fact that he is greasy. So it's a chance. Lastly i would most defiantly be friends with Joe. So far i think he is the best character in the book but that is just my opinion. If he was real and actually went to this school i could see my self hanging out with him.
ReplyDeleteNo, I could not be best friends with Bobby my main character because he uses huge words and is so weird. I mean he is just too differrent from me. I don't like to call names but he is a loser and honestly I don't think anyone would really be his friend. He is a tie salesman which is like an old person's job and I wouldn't be seen working there.
ReplyDeleteSo far in "HUNGER GAMES" I think that Peeta and I could be good friends. One because I LOVE food and 2 because he cooks food. Another reason would be because he can really take some pain. He was stabbed in the leg and then laid there for three days; atleast I think it was three days.
ReplyDeleteI feel that if i got the chance to know my character, LaVaughn, i would probably really like her as a person. LaVaughn is a hard worker and really perserveres in what she wants such as her goal currently to attend college. LaVaughn not only has a wonderfull work ethic, her personality seems to be caring and kind too. These traits makes her easy to like and fun to be around, which are things I look for in a friend.
ReplyDeleteI could deffinatly not become best friends with Crash from the book "Crash". He is very rude and impulsive. He doesnt think before he does things and he is to agressive around people. Like when he was forcing Jane to dance with him at the dance. Or how he tackled his grandfather and hurt him, are just dumb things to do.

ReplyDeleteI think that I could become best friends with the main characters in my book. Even though they smoke and get into fights with other people alot, if i lived on their side of town I would still be their friend. On the west side everyone is like that. I would be their friend because they are all pretty close and seem to help eachother out alot. Like when Dally gave Ponyboy and Johnny the gun and money so they could run from the cops. That may not be a good situation but if Dally is willing to become an accomplice and get in trouble for them, then it shows that they reallyt care about each other.

ReplyDeleteI feel that i would be able to become best friends with my character Lavaughn. Even though she does make choices that effect her relationships with ehr parents which i do not like she is avery kind person nontheless. Lavaughn really cares about going to college and getting good grades and so I feel that we have the same goals. She also has a heart nad is helping Jolyl out by babysitting even though she's not getting paid. Another reason i could be friends with Lavaughn is because she i feel can make good decisions and i think that's really importnat. I would not want to hang out with someone like Jolly because she got pregnant once and then made the same mistake again. I feel that Lavaughn can make the right choices unlike Jolly so i would want to be friends with Lavaughn.

I think I could not be friends with anyone in Make Lemonade because we couldnt get along.For example I wouldnt get along with Jolly because I would disagree with alot of the things she does and I think she is uneduicated.I wouldnt get along with LaVaghn because I think she is beond ghetto and i would correct her grammer alot and i also think she is dumb.Truely all the charecters are pretty dumb because there all ghetto.

Crash only thinks of his self and doesnt care of other peoples feelings so i would want to beat, him up maybe that would change his perspective on life and other people.

ReplyDeleteIn "Make Lemonade" so far, we really got to learn about what type of person Lavaughn is. I would think that I would become her friend. She very helpful, especially to Jolly with helping out the kids all the time, for FREE. Shes also caring. It shows shes caring because she takes care of the kids, and basically builds a tight relationship with them, and plus she does it for free, so that shows that she DOES want Jolly to get better, and be able to provide for herself and two kids. Lavaughn seems like shes cool.
ReplyDeleteI really could see myself hanging out with the main characters in the Outsiders if i was born "back in their day". The only problem i would actually hold against them is that they smoke. Breathing in smoke for an hour is NOT fun.
ReplyDeleteI think i could be good friends 13 year old Rassberry beacause she could help me make money and give me money! plus i think me and her love money just about the same... the only thing is that she won't spend hers, but me, i would be going on a shopping spree just about every week! but to her money is to precios to spend. but my final answer is yes, she would be my #1 friend!

ReplyDeleteIn the book Make Lemonade I think I could become very good friends with LaVaughn. I think this because in ways we think the same way, and we have gone through the same things. For example she lost her father when she was little too. Although I didn’t loose my father, my parents got a divorce I can still understand how she feels. She does not see him, and I rarely see my dad. So I know we could be able to connect on that part. We also could connect because we think the same things and like to help people, even if that means putting our needs back. LaVaughn helps Jolly any way she can. I would help Jolly too. So I know we could be able to be great friends and help other human’s lives.

I also think I could not be friends with her because we are two different people and, I might not appear to her. Also she is seemed to be the type of person who will bug you for some money. She just won't trust you even if you tell her will.
ReplyDeletePonyboy and I, relaxing at the theater enjoying the finer things in life. Personally, I believe me and Ponyboy could get along well. He isn't as thuggish or as much of a brute as say, Dallas Winston. Pony tries to find the details of everything, being attached so he can adore all aspects of the thing at hand. I try that myself often but I find it troubling that a conversation cannot be done. If me and him were to talk, I'm sure that we would get along fine since we're both the same age as well. If we were in a fight, then I still think we can get along afterwards, just a likeable guy who doesn't talk much (Which reminds me of myself slightly).

I think this because I know that she believes in helping people who need it, like I do, also because she enjoys baby-sitting the kids. I baby-sit all the time and would be happy to do it for free to anyone who might need it.

This was my shinning moment because I felt like I was so special because it was so and it felt like the world had stop and it just me for that minute. Even though everybody thought I didn't deserve it .I felt so special. For my book, I think that raspberry special moment is the old lady had pay here $50.00 for help. I think that was her special moment because she felt probably felt like if she can clean house and make money she can do this

ReplyDeleteThe character that I might be friends with is Jolly. I might be friends with Jolly because she tries her hardest to have a good life and keep her children. My mom tried her hardest to give me a good life and she was only 14. My real dad left and did not want anything to do with me. And some times I'm a really good friend to my mom. So I might be able to be friends with Jolly because I would be able to help her so that her kids have a better life than she did. With that said, I hope that LaVaugh helps Jolly and her kids have a really good life.

I would only want to be friends with them because they seem to have a very out going personality snd i like that. If I didn't, the thought of seeing Katniss, Prim, and their mother out in the street and constantly hunting on their own. My mind just wouldn't let me sleep at night.
ReplyDeleteIn my book, "Holes", I think that I would be friends with Zigzag. He has a short temper, but doesn't put up with people picking on him or his friends. Zigzag's personality kind of reminds me of Alek's, so I think that he'd be easy to talk to and hang out with (when he's not in a fight).

I think that she is easily someone i could get along with because she stands up for what she believes in and isnt afraid to speak her mind. For example when she stands up to defend herself to Mrs.Wyman because she didn't want to say the pledge and even though a lot of people started laughing she didn't give up and in the end it paid off.I also think that me and Addie would be best friends because i understand how she feels when she feels defeated and that no one has her back.

But we wouldn't be friends because she likes to hunt and I dont. She also likes to take care of her mom and sister. I would never hunt for my own food. If I kill it I won't eat it.

ReplyDeleteMary Lou and I would potentially be best friends. I get along with a lot of different people. Each one of my best friends is a totally different person personality wise. Mary Lous is quiet, but can get worked up easily. She doesn't technically like listening to people's drama or problems but she will. That is important because I like to vent on my friends and listen to them, and help them out with typical teen stuff like that.

ReplyDeleteI am reading the book "Apsolutely True Chaos" and the main character Beth Ann and I would probably be BEST FRIENDS!!! I think that girl is awesome! She hates the draamaaaa and is sort of opinionated but knows when to lie. Beth Ann is always doing SOMETHING so there would never be a dull moment and she is up for anything :)

Addie is out spoken and speaks her opinion when it is convient for her. She doesn't care what other people think of her and won't take no as an option.
