Pretend you have a crystal ball that allows you to see the ending of your story. What do you see happening? What is the outcome of the various conflicts in the story? What do you think happens to the characters when all is said and done? Even if you have finished the story, what do you think happens next for the people and places in your book?
If I had a crystal ball that allows me to see the endind of the book that I am reading would be that I think Jolly is going to go back to school and LaVaughn is going to keep babysiiting without getting paid because she really cares about the kids. Some of the problems that are in this book would be that Jolly just got fired from her job and she hardly has any money to pay for anything so I think Jolly is going to get her act together and she's going to go back to school and get her Highschool diploma
ReplyDeleteAt the end of my book, The Misfits by James Howe, I picture Bobby (fat kid) hooking up with Kelsey, Addie hooking up with Skeezie, and Joe just being Joe. Plus, I figure DuShawn will lose the election, as will everyone on the Freedom Party ticket. They're all not popular, and from past electoral experiences, only popular kids win. In addition to being losers, what they stand for (minority rights) is sooooooo stupid. There are only 3 black kids in the entire 7th grade, and they're not descriminated against! Soooo the Freedom Party will fail miserably!!

ReplyDeleteThe book im reading is "Make Lemonade" by Virginia Euwer Wolff.In the book i see that Jolly is going through a tough time and she has lost her job and she now cant pay LaVaughn. In the book I think that we ill learn more about LaVaughn's dad and how he died.later i think Jolly will soon find another job. I also think that Jolly will soon pay LaVaughn. Then later on in the story i belive when everything is good....the lemon seed will grow.
ReplyDeleteIn my book crash i think that crash and penn are going to become best friends because i thuink that mike is going to do something and go overboard with the whole bullying thing and it is going to mess up the realtionship between carsh and mike so crash is going to feel bad about all the things he did and then try to stop mike from doing it too but i dont think mike will listen. I think mike will just blow crash off and pick on both penn and crash

ReplyDeleteIn my book, The Outsiders, it is very unpredictable. Right when you think someone is about to die... they dont! ANd then they runn away to some random old church??? But it will be very hard to predict what will happen. I think that Soda will die and ponyboy will get revenge on whoever killed him. And then there will be an all out gang war...lot's of people will die.

ReplyDeleteIf I had a crystal ball that allowed me to see into the future of my book "Crash" I could predict that in the end of the book Webb is going to be one of the coolest kids in their grade, and Crash and Mike are going to wish that they never made fun of him. Also I think that there is going to be a big football game and Crash is going to do really good and get to go out with Jane and Crash will end up hanging out with Jane more than Mike.
ReplyDeleteIn my book the Misfits, I think that since the more important characters are mostly nerds they will start to become more popular in a way. Like they will not become so popular to where they will "run the school" they will just be more liked and taken more seriously.

I think Jolly will go back to school, finish her education, and get a good paying job to support her two children, Jilly and Jeremy. Lavaughn. I see Lavaughn finishing her school year with great grades and she will continue to babysit Jollys kids. Although she may continue to help out Jolly, I dont think she will be paid back for all of the times Jolly didnt give her money for babysitting. For Lavaughns mother, I think she will find another man and live a happy life with her daughter. I also think that Lavaughns mother will begin to treat Jolly as her own child and allow her to move in with her and Lavaughn. I have a feeling the term "Make Lemonade" has a HUGE twist to it but i cannot quite see its future and meaning through the crystal ball.

SO for Jolly to be able to get a job she is going to have to go back to school and get her diploma because right now Jolly can't even spell words right. I don't agree that Lavaughn will continue babysitting for Jolly. I think she will continue to visit the kids because she likes them but i do not think that she wil abbysit. Even though we can tell that Lavaughn has a interest in the kids she will not babysit for no money because she knows what she wants and that is money so she can go to college. I also think crashes friend mike might become jelous of crash because he scores all the touchdowns in the football games, and everyone pays more attention to crash and not mike cause he is just a linmen. I also think crash and mike are going to regret bullieing penn because they might find out he is a good kid and he might become their friend.

I mean I put orginally that they might win and flip since in alot of books and movies the good guy or the loser will always win and or the loser in the school will always end up being liked by everyone. Although I can understand your idea since it is true that they are losers and the only reason they might possibly have a chance of winning is because DuShawn is their President. So if I had to write two different ways on how I see this book ending your idea would be similar.

I have a similar feeling towards my characters at the end of "Make Lemonade". its also sort of said to hear that the characters in your book are being everything BUT themselves.

I think that Ponyboy and Johnny would eventually get caught because nobody can commit a murder and get away with it. I also think that the war between the Greasers and Socs will end since Bob their big leader was killed and Jonny and Ponyboy will be in jail. Darry and the gang would try to go beak Johnny and Ponyboy out of prison, then the novel would go into a second story about the busting out of jail. I can't wait to find out the climax of my book.

ReplyDeleteIn my book, Make Lemonade, I think things will end all cookie cutter and happy; like everybook usually does. Currently Jolly is struggling to support her two toodlers, so I believe that Jolly will find a stabble job, and get a better home. Also, I think that Jollys boss will be put in jail. Lavaughn is trying to get money for college and its not working it out because Jolly isn't paying her for babysitting, so I tihnk that Lavaughn will first help Jolly with babysitting, but find another better job, and then she will graduate highschool and then go to college to be sucsessful.

If I were him, I could not live with the gilt. I also think that Dally will die because he and Johnny were really good friends and if Johnny kills himself, Dally will too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Joe. Even if somebody kills someone and runs away, eventually they will be found. Criminals can be stupid sometimes. For example, Johnny and Ponyboy left the fountain without trying to cover anything up. The police could easily find their shoeprints on the concrete and track them down.

ReplyDeleteIf I were to look into a crystal ball it would be a very interesting ending for my book "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton. I predict that at the end of the book the two gangs, Socs and Greasers will have a huge fight and a lot of people will die. I think in the end the Greasers will win the fight and will be the new "cool guys on the block." I beleive this because they have been winning the fights lately and will eventually kill them all.
ReplyDeleteMy book, "Make Lemonade" is very hard for me to predict. I know for sure this book will end happily but im not sure in which way. Will Jolly ever be somewhat wealthy? Or go back to living on the streets like she used to? I always wonder if her kids will have a good education and be succesfull, like Lavaughn is trying to do. I wonder if Lavaughn will every recieve all the money Jolly owes to her. This story has lots of mixed feelings, I think this is because every character is very different from one another. Thats why i can't really see the "future" into this book besides a happy ending. There is many open ended questions in this book that seem to never have an answer. For the most part, im sure Jolly will find a well paid job and give more money then usual to Lavaughn; like she should be doing now. Jeremy and Jilly, Jolly's children, hopefully grow up with a very well education and pass high school. Unlike their mother. Im really hoping Jolly takes Lavaughn's idea and moves out of their apartment and finds a new clean hope for the three opf them; Jolly needs a well life. Not like the messed up one she is living now.
ReplyDeleteIn my book Money Hungry, I predict that Raspberry's mom will mary the rich doctor because of his money. Raspberry and her mom live in the ghetto and thry are one of the poor people in the story. Also, I predict that Raspberry and Sato will go out with each other, reguardless of how Sato acts when his friends arent around. Finally I predict that Raspberry will loose her obsetion with money because onnce her mom marries the rich doctor, she will have a good supply of it.

I think that ether Ponyboy or Johnny will get killed for killing the soc.I also believe that at the vary end of the story all the fighting will come to a stop and all the gangs will have peace with one another. I agree with you Ryan the outsiders is very unpedictable. It will make you think one thing but says what you werent thinkink.
ReplyDeleteIn my book make lemonade the main character jolly is struggling with two kids and she is 17 years old. she hierd LaVaghn to babysit her kids while she went to work. Jolly came home one day and told LaVaghn that she is fired from her job because he boss tried to "feel her" and she stapped him with a pensil so he fired her. she is now looking for a job so that she can pay for her kids and not have them suffer just like she is doing. this book is difficult to predict because it has random event that you dont even see comming. But i think that in the end jolly will find a job or go back to school so she can get a good education to get a good job.

I truely think the story will end well just as you said, and everyone will be happy like very other sad begining book. "Make Lemonade" is the type of story to do so and make you wonder what is going to happen? and how are they going to fix the problems that are accuring? You and I are on them same page with "Make Lemonade".
ReplyDeleteWow Kyle! Thats a harsh way to put an ending that you think will happen (eventually the Greasers will kill all the Socs). But thats what I think might happen to, I said that Cherry and Marcia will join the Greasers side and might have to kill Randy or another Soc in self-defense to save themselves.
ReplyDeleteWhat do I predict in my magic crystal for The Outsiders? I see nothing but tragedy. Darrel will mess with the wrong people in a desperate bid to find Ponyboy, Two-Bit and Dallas might end up in the morgue after taking part in the vacant brawl, and Johnny is so unstable, he seems like he's going to be just another statistic in the long line of suicides.
ReplyDeleteIn no way do I believe this story can turn this coal into diamond as the Socs will never live the murder down. The Socs vs. Greaser struggle will boil down to even more deaths. I'll be shocked if this prediction wouldn't come true.
The only, only event that would be a ray of sunshine would be Ponyboy dating Cherry but we all know how Romeo and Juliet ended (I hope).
I am reading the book Make Lemonade, by Virginia Euwer Wolff. If I could use a crystal ball and see the ending of the story, I think I would be very pleased. I think that many conflicts would be solved. For example this biggest conflict I see forming at this point in the story is a conflict with LaVaughn and her mom. LaVaughn is currently baby-sitting for a 17 year old single mother. All is going good at first until the 17 year old mom, Jolly, gets fired from her job and can not pay LaVaughn. I think all this is going to make a conflict between LaVaughn and her mom because her mom just wants best for her daughter. This includes saving money to go to college. If LaVaughn keeps baby-sitting for Jolly and not getting paid the college fund is not going to increase. Another conflict that I think is going to be solved is that Jolly will finish taking her classes, and get a better job. So I am very excited to finish reading the book, and see how the conflicts will turn out.
ReplyDeleteIn my book "Make Lemonade", I think that what lies ahead for LaVaughn is good. I belive that because she is so determined to go to college, sooner or later, she will be there. When LaVaughn sets her heart on something, she tries until she gets it. She really wants to get out of the nasty, crime filled place she has lived in her whole life. Also she really wants to feel safe, it's not like she says it through out the book, but you can kind of feel it. If I was her I would feel the same way.

If I were to have the crystal ball I would love to figure out what goes on later in the story because sometime my book can leave you hanging and sometimes its a total disaster. I think that if were to have the crystal ball I would wish that I could find out with what Mtisha and Slams future would be and how he does and if he is successful throughout high school and what the future job he holds is.

ReplyDeleteIf i had a crystal ball that could tell me what would happen at the end of my story that's SLAM,i would like to see Greg the main character having faith to be able to ask Ice how he got everything he has now and if he has anything doing with drugs.The outcome of the conflict maybe Greg being able to understand why everyone wants him to learn and they are not against him about playing basketball,and he must understand that the coach doesn't dislike him but he wants him to be able to cooperate with the others.I don't really have an idea what will happen but i think Ice will end up in jail and Mtisha and Greg will end up together.I think at the end everyone will leave happily ever after and Ice will learn his lesson.I don't really know the book you are reading Anwar,but i think it somehow relates to the story i'm reading about a guy and a girl who are always quarelling but they like each other and i would like to know the title of your book.
ReplyDeleteIn the future I think the main character in my book, Slam, would probbaly be playing basket ball and maybe in the NBA. I'm not sure that Slam will get a collage dagree but he might get a schollorship for basket ball. If slam doesent get into collage his mom will probably try to still finance his education some how, she values education alot, actually she thinks school is so important that if his grades fall more he probabbly won't be able to play basket ball.

ReplyDeleteIf I had a crystal ball to see the end of Hunger Games, I think the ending would have a terribly sad ending. In the Games, someone has to die and i suspect it to be either the main character, Katniss, or one of her enemies will die. Katniss may start trying to stay alive until the last three competiters are alive. Then Katniss will find one and kill them but the last enemy of hers will come out of nowhere and maybe stab her in the back. Even worse, her friend Peeta. Dun dun da! This book has been pretty suspenseful so far...

I also think that they will never end up in a broke down truck like the one they lived in before. I also think that she will also sell iteams that wont make people sick and she will make a lot of money for it.

I picture this because Katniss has put so much time and effort into practicing and taking time out to prep herself for the interview to get into the Hunger Games. I see the main events and conflicts in this story turning out to be an advantage to Katniss while shes in the games. I see this because in the story it makes Katniss out to be a strong girl. I really do think Katniss will win these games.

Also i think that her and Sato would get together. This is because in books, most of the time, the characters who fight the most ussually end up getting together. And I think that Rassberrys mother Dr.Mittchel will get together.

Matilda's going to be remembering this fever for the remainder of her life, and I doubt it'll be in a good way.
