  1. A Shining moment that i have had is when i hit my first homerun! I was so excited when i saw the bright green ball soar over the fence! I will always remember that day, for the reast of my life.
I think Joe's most memorable moment is when he tells everybody that he is coming out of the closet. When he tells everyone that he is gay. that is a day that no one will ever forget.

  2. The most memorable moment in my life would be the time when I saved my brother from drowning in a pool. He went into the deep end and accidentally let go of the wall and I had to jump in at the age of 8 and save him. It is one of the most memorable moments in my life because I saved him.

One of Katniss' most memorable moments in her life would be when her father died.It was really bad because he died from a mine explosion.

  3. I think that the moment that will stay in my characters mind is the time that he was almost drowned by the Socs. I think that this moment would stay in my characters mind as a memorable moment because he barely escaped with his life, and a near-death experience is not something you forget easily.

  4. in misfits the shining moment for them is when they come in second place in the student council elections. i think this because befor that they were never really known and they were like invisible and also they were made fun of alot so when they won that they were really happy

  5. The most memorable moment of Ponyboy's life is when he runs away. Ho w do you not rememer that!!!! It was right after they killed a soc. I would try to forget it but i probably couldnt. It would have to stay in my consience for ever. I'd be 80 years old and thinking about when i kiled someone. I just couldnt get rid of it. But when they run away and got caught on that church fire too.

  6. One memorable moment in my life was when my mom died and it may sound wierd but my life wouldnt be the same. Everything happens for a reason and maybe it happened for a good reason. Probably wouldnt be able to be in the house i live in now because she spent alot of money and i woulkdnt be going to this school. Also i wouldnt have certain friends because she was really protective. it is my most memorable evcent because it changed my life drastically.

I thiunk the memorable moment for crash was when he broke the springfield middle school football record with 6 td's in one game and 23 in a season.

    ReplyDelete
  7. yeah I agree with you Billy. She always seems to be thinking about how her father died in that explosion and how her family has to try and survive on their own.

  8. The most memorable moment of my life is when i scored my first touchdown at the home game agiasnt chipmond during football season, because i love football and people said people and i proved them wrong. From my characters point of i think his most important moment was breaking the record of most touchdowns in a single season, because he also loves football and he wanted to prove he was the best.

  9. Woah Sam, I don't play baseball and I don't think I would be that good at it but that homerun seems like it would be really hard to do for me and also you.I'd be really proud of that also!

  10. RESPONSE TO ALEK'S:

I dont think that that would be a very memorable moment because they only came in second place, and that wouldnt make me very happy if i lost and came in second place.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I agree with Sam, Joe's most memorable moment might be where he tells everyone he is gay. I think just because now he offically knows his friends know that he is gay.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I agree with pj because if i barely escaped death i would remember that moment for the rest of my life because life is very important and do not want to lose it

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sam thats cool i know i cant hit a homerun. And i play baseball and i know i couldnt do it. You got to be pretty good.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I agree with Sam because i feel that once you reveal who you really are you will never forget that moment in your life. When Joe was hiding that he was gay he probably felt something was missing because no one really knew who he was. But like Sam said how Joe went out and revealed he was gay i think that really opened a part of him up and from that day on he probably became confident since the truth came out.

  15. P.J. i don't agree with you because after everything that happened to him after that it seems like a minor thing. I think his mind would be way more occupied by the fact that his friends are dying and that he had to run from the cops and could possible be taking from his house to a children's home. Almost drowming is a big deal but he is used to stuff like that from the socs so it wouldn't really be a surprise that they try to kill him.

  16. One of the most memorable moments in my life was when I hit my first grand slam homerun in an actual baseball game. Yhis moment was very special because I love baseball and and hitting homeruns are very important because they can get me on good baseball teams and hopefully if I keep doing good in baseball I could get a college scholarship and get to go to a nice college. The most memorable moment for Crash, in my book was when he broke the record for scoring the most tochdowns with a total of 23, and the old record was 20. This is important to Crash because Crash loves football and wants to be the best he can be at it so he can keep a good reputation of being good at football and feared to other football players.

  17. Pj i sadly disagree with you. I think thaqt the word SHINING means happy. I dont think that being drowned is a very memrobable moment

    ReplyDelete
  18. I totally agree with myself.
I think that you would Defientally rember running away. And killing someone would stick in my head!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. My most memarble moment was prabaly when i got my dirtbikes and four wheeler for christmas about 6 years ago. And also when i flipped my four wheeler I remember that really well.

Slam's most memorble moment was prabably when he was playing Brothers in the basketball game and he lost

    ReplyDelete
  20. I agree with Ryan Price, because when I read the part of the book, I thought that that would be a hard thing to forget. How can you forget about running away or killing someone.

    ReplyDelete
  21. One of my most memorable moment was when probly when I got my first dog because she protected me and was a very good dog.She knew the rules of what she could and couldn't do. Also cries when wants to play,go to bathroom,or is hungry. She listened very well too.

Slam's most memorable moment I think was when his coach called him out. Then he beat him and also slamed on him. Thats how everyone knew hw had to be very good in basketball and he had gained more friends and haters.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I know how you feel Sam when I hit my first homerun I felt so good about myself and it was so cool to me. And if someone came out of the closet that I knew that would definately e a moment I would'nt forget.

  23. The most memorable moment in my life was probably when i fell in a pool of water between two waterfalls in the Great Smoky Mountains and I almost went over the edge. i will always remember that, as I could have died!

I think Mattie's most memorable moment would be watching her grandfather die as it was traumatic and very emotional.

    ReplyDelete
  24. My most memorable moment was when I went to olive garden and I ate 2 bowls of soup, 3 breadsticks, 1 milkshake, a 16 oz steak, and a side of chiken and shrimp alfredo. The best part was that I bet my dad 20 dollars that i could eat all of it and I the next day he had to pay up.

    ReplyDelete
  25. One of my most memorable moment would be when my ice hockey team(Delaware Stars) won our championship game against Roman Catholic. The game went into overtime, and there was about 14 seconds left till we went to a 4 on 4 overtime. When Justin Kelly scored the game winning goal! Also at that time I just became assistant captain before the game.

Pony's most memorable moment would be, when he ran away to the old church because it was a life changing expierence for Ponyboy I think. And he realized what life is outside the hood.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I agree with you Cory, that hitting your first homerun is a great accomplishment because its one of those moments when you build confidence and you build more self estiem. I also agree with Breandon Scott because your first dog is important because a dog is like having another brother or sister, which sometimes isnt a good thing to have.

    ReplyDelete
  27. PJ i disagree with your earlier post at the top. I think Ponyboy's most memorable moment would be the entire day when both Johnny and Dally died. He'd lost two of his closest friends that day. Both died right in front of his eyes. Dally's death was dramatic, because it ended in a firefight.

  28. (from charecters point of view -Jolly) My most memorable moment, was when I got fired from my job. This experience was terrible because my boss fired me for a bad reason; he triede to rape me, and i stabbed with a pencil. I hate that guy. I hope to sue him eventually, whenever I can afford a lawyer.
(from my point of view) A moment I remember was when I...uh... when sammy and shelby came to my nutcracker and embaressed me! hahaa, well I was on stage and everything, and its a ballet, so its supposed to be all nice and stuff. And then, out of the blue, they stand up with big posters in their hands a say, "GO ABBY! WOO WOO WOO WOO WOO!" Thats something you go at a basketball game; not a ballet.

  29. the most memborable in my life is when i went to Cooperstown New York and got 20th out of 96 teams. I also hit 7 homeruns in 8 games. I agree with you corey someone coming out of the closet is a moment i would remember becasue it would be very awkward.

  30. My most memorable moment was when I first saw a Jonas Brothers music video. I was just chilling watching T.V. when all of a sudden BAM!! There they were. I was like OH MY GOSH!!!! Whoever they are, they are super cute! I will always remember this moment because duh! It the Jonas Brothers. Who wouldn't remember them?
I think that Ponyboy's most memorable moment would be when he was drowning. I know I would remember that. It would be so scary.

  31. One of my most memorable moments was whem my softball team won Sat Championship last summer againt swoop this is my most memorable moment because all of them were really cocky and thought they were going to beat us when the didnt. Most of them were crying and were really mad. but i can understand that because they thought they were going to beat us. that is my most memorable moment one of jollys was got when she almost got raped by her boss and came home fired becausew she stabbed him with a pensil to try to defend herself

    ReplyDelete
  32. Jerome I agree that would be memorable. It's crazy that you can eat that much. You should join food eating contests!

  33. One of my most memorable moments was when I was at my friends house and we were climbing the fence and it had rusty nails sticking out of it and i slipped and my side get cought on one of them and it went like almost 3 or 4 cm into my side and i was bleeding thorugh my shirt. So I have a big scar on my side now I think Matilda's most memorable moment was watching her grandfather die. Then haveing to bury.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree with you Sam. I think that Ponyboy's most memorable moment was when both of his friends died. This was really hard for him to take in and he will remember that day forever.

    ReplyDelete
  35. My most memorable moment was winning the championship at soccer camp. The coolest part was talking with college scouts. I even got to talk to the coach at Slippery Rock University.

My character Ponyboy's most memorable moment would be running away to Windrixville with Johnny. I think this would be his most memorable moment because it was his first time away from his brothers and gang.

  36. One of my most memorable memories was when I got my first cell phone in seixth grade. Christmas morning was the day I recieved it. My dad put a fake birds nest in our tree and wrapped the cell phone in the nest. This ment the world to me ! And I was so excited, I had a major feeling that i would get this phone. So my brother and I were finally done opening all our presents when I heared that verizon ringtone. I was screaming at this point and running around the christmas tree trying to find my phone. Im pretty sure it took me 10 min to find! But it was very funny according to yh parents finally I found my phone and that was the best christmas.

Jollys best memory is probly when she first saw her daughter and son. That moment probly ment qa lot that she could see her own kids that she had in her stomach for a very long time. I know when my mom had me she said that was a memory she will never forget so im sure Jolly felt the same way.

  37. Wow Thomas that is crazy i would have freaked out if that had happened to me... sounds like you need to be more careful! =)

  38. Every one in life has shinning moments. For sure I have had many. I think the best shinning moments were the ones spent with my 3 best friends, Sara, Sam, and Caroline. This one time we all hung out on the last day of school in 6th grade, and we just had a blast. I knew from than on I would always be able to count on them no matter what. If I ever need advice, or help with something, or just want to vent I know I can call them and they will be there for me no matter what!
For LaVaughn I think the most shinning moment is the one where she gets Jolly to go back to school. I think this is one of her best moment because she changed a person life! With doing that LaVaughn knows that one person in her life can be happier.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Well Sam, I bet you were very proud when you made your first home run! I can just see you jumping up and down being very excited! As your best friend I am very proud of you! I know your going to make a great softball player!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Brandon I agree because I think that with Slam slamming one down on the coach helped his self esteem and they were all getting excited

    ReplyDelete
  41. Is when i saw one of friends that i have not saw for a long time.

I have to agree with Patrick. At the age of 14 and almost killed, he's going to suffer from trauma for a long time. He might need therapy once more in my honest opinion.

  43. My most memorable moment im my life is when I went to Alaska and walked on a Glacior and drank from a little Pond that was on the glacior. Slams most memorable moment is probally when he was beging for forgivness to Mtisha.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I agree with madi. That part was kind of suprising to me also. Only because Jolly is so unhelpful. She never does anything because she is afraid, but for good reason.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think that me and Janae will get along and be BFF because she is going through the same problems i am going through.

    ReplyDelete
  46. My most memorable moment was when I turned five and got to go pick out my first dog. It was really eciting to have dog espesially my first! 48. The best moment in my life is when I was doing Spring Sports for our school. I was running track, and I was beating the best girl from Dover! I felt very excited, because I didn’t think I could do it, but I put my heart into it and I pushed my self to beat her! My whole team was cheering me on and I felt like I was the only runner on the team!
Jeremy is two years old and I think the most shinning moment for his life right now, is when he learned how to use the bathroom in the toilet. I think this is important for him, but also for Jolly his mom. I think this because Jeremy will think and believe that he is a big boy now! I think Jolly would be happy because she doesn’t have to worry about buying and changing diapers for two kids anymore.

  49. I agree with Karl that the most memorable part in my book is when Slam is beaging for forgivness, ironicaly I posted the same thing...WOW that is intence.

I got my first award as well since I don't really participate in tournaments. I received Student of the Year and my fist degree black belt as well. i had my picture taken many times and I had to do a demonstration in front of many people. This was a proud moment of mine and I'll never forget it. This was my goal now I've changed it to getting my masters degree.
